Rhetorical Analysis Presentation

The subject of my rhetorical analysis presentation is probably going to be the use of camera angle and music in two scenes in the film Thelma and Louise. The camera angle looks into the car that Thelma and Louise drive during their adventure.  This helps to emphasize the openness they experience from this journey and emphasizes their interaction as a couple.  Much of the importance of the film comes from their interactions and friendship and the camera angle emphasizes this.  Similarly, the musical tones throughout the pieces further showcase the openness with guitar rifts that could potentially go on forever.

I could not find movie clips from my examples, but I'm attempting to embed stills from the film to showcase these points.

A couple of comments here. First, you have an excellent sense of the focus-detail of the assignment (the small building blocks that have larger implications--music, camera angles, etc.)

Now, if you were to continue on working on this post topic, you'd want to find a way to relate the camera angle AND music--how do they work together for a common (or different? or both) purpose. Otherwise, you'll end up with two mini papers that would seem unrelated).

Next, you considered shifting your topic a bit. As you said, "I want to focus more on trucks in the
film and how the main characters reactions with trucks and trucks as a symbol for men and male dominance. I was wondering if this is an appropriate topic for this essay, mainly, is the symbolism and the use of trucks considered rhetoric in this context?"

Yes, this is a perfectly fine and intersting new angle to take. Perhaps there's a way to relate the three ideas (is there music, camera angle, and truck scene?).
